September, 2024
Visiting Artist with Oregon State University course taking place at Summer Lake and hosted by Playa. Course designed and facilitated by Michael Boonstra and Andrew Myers. Participants visited Summer Lake, petroglyph sites, Lake Abert, Elder Creek (flowing into the Chewaucan River), Fort Rock, and more. Students engaged with a pigment workshop—making paint from plants.

Visiting Artist with Oregon State University course taking place at Cape Perpetua on the Oregon Coast. Course designed, taught, and facilitated by Michael Boonstra and Andrew Myers including visiting artists and local speakers. Students engage artistically with place, visiting artists, local speakers, and one another over the course of one week camping in the state park located within a protected marine reserve.

Sun Breathing invites us to attune to the subtle changes resulting from continuous exposure to light and dust and encourages us to embrace grief to enable healing.
